Breastfeeding From Within. . . Bellingham breastfeeding Mamas: you are so fortunate to have many women in this community who are passionate about Mamas and babies and offering breastfeeding support. Breastfeeding Cafe is one of these offerings. Each Monday, we offer this sweet gathering for Mamas who are navigating the challenges of breastfeeding their baby, or who would like to meet other new Mamas. It is a wonderful place to come - no need to get dressed-up. It's okay if your baby cries or poops or spits up. It's okay if you cry. You can ask us anything. And it's for women only, so you don't have to feel shy or embarrassed. This is the place that supports you to learn how to breastfeed your baby comfortably.
Feeding your baby from your heart and soul - finding your groove and what works best for you and your baby in each moment of your feeding relationship. Facilitator Mary Burgess provides deep listening and solution-focused dialogue to encourage your empowered breastfeeding experience. Enhance your circle of mothers, create new friendships or strengthen old ones. Plus gentle stretches to ease those baby-holding arms, shoulders, and neck, along with guided visualizations and nurturing self-care. A nourishing bowl of hot rice, with toppings of your choice, tea, and friendly conversation, included in each gathering.*

Breastfeeding Your Baby
With Deborah Craig
A class for women only. This class, offered once per month on a Saturday will help expecting moms prepare to breastfeed their
babies. We will discuss nutritional needs for breastfeeding moms, how
our bodies make milk, and how to integrate the breastfeeding
relationship into our lives. This class emphasizes frequent early
feedings, skin-to-skin contact, feeding on demand, and teaches skills
in hand expression and positioning. Frequently, guest breastfeeding women will demonstrate. Information and support for
continued breastfeeding after returning to work.
Class details:

if you somehow "failed?" If so, please join me for a Birth Stories Workshop - Toward Healing Difficult or Traumatic Birth Experiences. Class for Mamas only - no partners or observers. A sacred, safe place where we'll dive deep into your birth stories, shake them up a bit, talk them through in new ways, so they settle differently into your body. Please bring your self, an open heart, and a willingness to look at your birth with new eyes, heart and body.

Deep emotional and physical nurturing of the new mother within the first 6 weeks postpartum.
