I am passionate about pregnancy, childbirth, and caring for new Mamas and babies. A birthkeeper, I believe that Birth is an extra-ordinary rite of passage, mysterious and dynamic, sacred and beautiful. I am passionate about birth and the powerful opportunities for growth and empowerment a woman has when she births a baby. I hold that space, and trust birth, so that Mama, Dad, and Baby can be born. I teach Birthing In Awareness childbirth preparation classes, Birthin' Again refresher class, Empowered Birth After Cesarean, Birth Stories Workshop: Toward Healing Difficult and Traumatic Births, and facilitate Breastfeeding Cafe.
I understand the power of community for new Mamas, the grounding force and life-lines that group postpartum care can offer. I offer Breastfeeding Cafe and the very nurturing Swaddling the New Mother.

I officially became a massage therapist this year, but I have been exposed to and learning the art of massage since I was in the womb. I am a second-generation massage therapist. As a child, I grew up playing under my mother's massage table, oiling my dolls' skin and rubbing my relatives' shoulders. Now with more official training completed, I am offering my clients sessions in Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage, Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Ortho-Bionomy.

Through my life and work, I have cultivated the belief that the most effective healing comes from within one's own body, from discovering and trusting the wisdom of one's own unique being. It is my greatest hope that my work inspires others to find this healing wisdom in their own bodies. My hope is that clients come away from their session relieved from the discomforts of life and more in balance and in tune with their bodies.

A Birth and Postpartum Doula, my excitement for birth also began young; the book A Child is Born was one of my favorites. The decision to become a Birth Doula came after being witness to the marvel of my sister laboring with her first child. I continue to be awed and inspired by the miracle and beauty of of women bringing life into this world. My Doula Services are designed to respect, honor and support this beautiful human rite and ritual. All creatures in life need support, be it water, sunshine, nourishment, touch, love, or air. My hope is that my services will provide love, encouragement, and nourishment to my clients on their journey as blossoming families.

Birth should be an empowering experience, not a fearful one. I believe that each woman has the power within to birth her own baby without the need for drugs or other interventions. My passion is to help guide women through a natural birth through the understanding of her amazing body and the support of a compassionate, loving labor coach. Birth is not just about the arrival of a new life, but also about the strengthening of family bonds.

The Bradley Method®:
This class trains mothers to trust their bodies and trains coaches to recognize mothers' needs so they may seek out what is comfortable for them in labor. In addition to learning about birth and the role of the coach, the classes focus on a healthy pregnancy through nutrition and exercise, successful breastfeeding, and post-partum preparation.

Class Details:
Classes run for 12 week sessions, and are held at Life Song on Monday evenings from 6-8pm.
See calendar for dates & times.
